OK hear me out...
HIMYM has been going for 7 series and it's not even close to reaching it's point yet, every episode lately seems to be a massive detour that takes us further away from the actual plot and relevant information is hidden behind episode after episode of completely pointless padding, not unlike Les Miserables when i read multiple pages of history just to get to one line that's relevant to the story and the characters.
Don't get me wrong it's not all bad, but watching HIMYM and reading Les Miserables are sometimes like being trapped on an extremely long car ride where you're constantly being told that it's the journey that counts not the destination, and you cant get out of the car and you really need to pee and you want to enjoy the journey but you've been stuck inside the car for hours and hours and you just want your suffering to end!
I get the feeling that this TV show would be like pornography to Victor Hugo.
