Pages 495-511

I'm not gonna say much about these few pages because to be honest there's really not that much to say.

It's just a brief interlude to describe the state of street urchins in Paris, one in a particular, a boy named Gavroche and if you're at all familiar with the musical you'll know that Gavroche is a fairly important character.
These pages aren't bad but they do have a certain 'Oliver Twist' feel to them, to be fair though can anyone have street urchins in their book and not have it be compared to 'Oliver Twist'? I think Les Miserables was published before 'Oliver Twist' actually....wasn't it? Huh, CHARLES DICKENS IS A THIEF!

An important bit of info is brought up here to do with Gavroche, he's not loved very much by his family so he spends most of his time on the streets, his family has two daughters and the mum favours them over her son, i think i can tell who this family is gonna turn out to be...... *cough* The Thenardiers! *cough*

Oh and Gavroche is also a friend to a lad named Marius. Hmmm.....could we be about to detour into  more backstory Mr Hugo? i think we are!!!

Fuck you Victor Hugo!
